Furthermore, despite the short campaign, the story line spills into the multiplayer aspect containing additional hours of game play. Campaign
What's to expect in the story line of The Darkness II? By following the story line of the original, The Darkness II presents the gamers with a new sense of shooter-type games. Jackie Estacado, in the two years since the events of the first game, has become the don of the Franchetti crime family. Though he still wields the Darkness, a malevolent force that has given him supernatural powers in its quest for death and destruction, Jackie has tempered the entity, thanks to guidance from the estranged occultist Johnny Powell. Jackie still struggles with the death of his girlfriend, Jenny Romano, which the Darkness had prevented him from stopping. In addition to the classic artillery the game usually offers, the gamer now wields the extra pair of permanent demonic arms again, which gruesomely rips bodies into pieces. Furthermore this new type of combat let the gamer apply increased imagination due to more options of execution. Now the single player is actually short, but most of the game actually lies within the multiplayer that ties the Single player along and adds to the experience.
Multiplayer
Unlike its original, the multiplayer game mode is now a continuation of the campaign. Additionally, the multiplayer mode will send you on the exact missions that tie into various parts of the campaign. The general idea of the multiplayer pertains to the gamer and up to 3 other gamers playing as Darkness-powered assassins that are completing assignments demanded by Estacado himself. Regardless of the story line taking its time to warm up, it additionally makes the story more intense and drama rising in the long run. For all the fans of the original The Darkness, The Darkness II is the game to please the demand for extreme gore and destruction.
